FedEx is one of the world’s leading express carriers and, since merging with TNT, has a dense European road and air network — in Germany it’s the go-to for urgent international shipments. FedEx tracking numbers usually have 12 digits (Express) or 15 digits (Ground/Economy) and are in your shipping confirmation or on the air waybill. Enter the number above to open the official FedEx tracking with every scan along the route.
FedEx scans shipments at every hub, so the tracking history is detailed: “Picked up”, “At local FedEx facility”, “On FedEx vehicle for delivery”. For intercontinental shipments the status “Clearance in progress” is normal and usually resolves within a day — customs clearance is part of every import from outside the EU. Express shipments cross Europe overnight; economy options take 2–5 working days.
For shipments within Germany and the EU, FedEx is often not the cheapest option — but sometimes exactly the right one. Europarcel will show you which carrier wins for your specific parcel: compare live offers from FedEx, DHL, Hermes, DPD, GLS and UPS, book from €4.99 with door pickup, and track everything on one page. Frequently asked questions
?Where do I find my FedEx tracking number?
In the shipping confirmation email, on the air waybill or on the label. Express numbers have 12 digits, Ground/Economy numbers 15.
?How fast does FedEx deliver to and from Germany?
FedEx Express delivers across Europe overnight and intercontinentally in 1–3 working days; economy services take about 2–5 working days within Europe.
?What does “Clearance in progress” mean?
Your shipment is going through customs — normal for every import from outside the EU. It usually clears within a day; if documents are missing, FedEx contacts the sender or recipient.
?Why is my FedEx tracking not updating?
Long flight legs and customs clearance can pause the tracking for a day. If nothing changes for several working days, contact FedEx customer service with your tracking number or ask the sender to investigate.
?Will I be able to track FedEx shipments on Europarcel?
Yes. At launch, Europarcel shows FedEx, DHL, Hermes, DPD, GLS and UPS shipments on one tracking page. Join the waitlist to be among the first.
