DHL Paket is Germany’s largest parcel carrier, part of the DHL Group with Deutsche Post. Domestic DHL tracking numbers usually have 12 or 20 digits; international shipments often start with letters such as “JJD”. You’ll find the number on your posting receipt, in the shipping confirmation email or — as a recipient — in the shop’s dispatch notification. Typical DHL statuses are easy to decode: “The shipment has been processed in the parcel center” means the parcel is on its way through the network, “Loaded onto the delivery vehicle” means it arrives the same day, and on the day of delivery DHL often shows a live preview of the expected time window. Within Germany, DHL parcels usually arrive in 1–2 working days. If the status hasn’t changed for more than three working days, first ask the sender to open an enquiry — only the sender can start a formal DHL investigation.

?Why is my DHL tracking not updating?
Parcels are only scanned at certain points, so gaps of a day are normal — especially around weekends or for international shipments. If nothing changes for more than three working days, ask the sender to open an enquiry with DHL.
